Dunmow Flitch Friendship Club is a charity registered in England and Wales, charity reg. no. 1045127. We were founded in June 1969 and received charitable status in 1995. In October 2018 the club adopted a new, more modern constitution, reflecting the changes in the world since we first started.
The charity is governed by a committee of six people comprising of three trustees and three members of the club. Our trustees for 2018-2019 are:
- Chair – Helen Manley
- Deputy Chair Sue Osborne
- Treasurer and Secretary – CVS Uttlesford (nominated representative Richard Corby).
The full committee meet regularly (at least every two months) to plan future activities, review expenditure and develop fundraising ideas. Trustees may meet between times to carry out their duties as set out in our constitution.
From time-to-time sub-committees will be appointed by the trustees to manage a particular event or campaign – such as the Carnival or Christmas party.
We are grateful to everyone who kindly gives their time to the club, including those volunteers and supporters who give time or services without benefiting from the club themselves.
